NOTE FOR AUTHORS
The editors of I Tatti Studies: Essays in
the Renaissance invite submission of manuscripts of between 7,000
and 10,000 words in length on any aspect of the Italian Renaissance,
broadly defined as the period ranging from the 13th to the 17th
centuries. They may be concerned with the history, literature, material
culture, music, philosophy, religion, science, architecture, visual arts
or material culture of Italy. Interdisciplinary approaches are
particularly welcome. Authors could also address subjects to do with the
transmission and circulation of ideas, objects, and people during the
Renaissance, both into and beyond the Italian peninsula, or the
historiography of the Italian Renaissance, including the rebirth of
interest in the Renaissance in later periods. The editors welcome
submissions from all scholars, whether or not they have any previous
association with I Tatti. Manuscripts should be essay-like in character
and as accessible as possible in style, with minimum use of technical
terminology. Most essays in I Tatti Studies are in English or
Italian, but the editors will consider publishing texts in other
languages. Submissions should follow the VIT Style Sheet.
